NA2XS(F)2et câble

NA2XS(F)2et câble est un câble d'alimentation moyenne tension unipolaire avec un conducteur toronné en aluminium, screened XLPE insulation, copper wire screen and black PE outer sheath. Le (F) construction includes longitudinal water-blocking components in the screen area.

Fixed distribution feeders, substations and industrial power routes use this cable type where the installation design calls for an aluminium conductor and a water-blocked screened core. Taille du conducteur, zone d'écran, voltage and route conditions define the final configuration.

Single-core aluminium/XLPE/copper-wire-screen/PE, 12/20(24) kV. The second area in 1×240/25 identifies the metallic screen, not another phase conductor.

Reference ampacity: one circuit, touching trefoil; air 30°C; ground 20°C, résistivité thermique 1.0 K·m/W and burial depth 0.7 m. Reference maximum conductor temperature: 90°C. Conduits, grouped circuits and bonding require a project calculation.

Longitudinal water blocking and three single-core circuits

Swellable components limit water movement along the cable after moisture enters. They do not repair sheath damage or establish a separate radial moisture barrier. Water-blocked conductors, radial barriers and immersion conditions require their own construction and evidence.

La notation 3×1×240 describes three individually sheathed single-core cables, each with a 240 mm² conductor. It is not a three-core assembly. Drum allocation, crampons, cable entries and screen connections follow that distinction.

Three single-core cables remain three individually sheathed products, even when installed together.

Applications and Installation Conditions

Utility distribution, transformer-substation connections and industrial feeders are typical fixed-installation contexts. Protection mécanique, conception thermique, end sealing and aluminium-compatible connections remain part of the cable system. Ordinary PE sheath is not a substitute for a specified flame-retardant or LSZH design.

Résistance, partial-discharge and voltage-test records do not replace evidence for longitudinal water penetration or sheath integrity. The declared water-blocking construction and its test scope must agree. The official IEC scope provides standard context, not a VDE certificate or utility approval.

NA2XS(F)2Y and Related Constructions

ModèleMain difference
NA2XSY cableAluminium conductor and PVC outer sheath instead of PE; longitudinal water blocking is not specified by the NA2XSY designation.
N2XS2Y cableCopper conductor instead of aluminium, with XLPE insulation and a PE sheath; longitudinal water blocking is not specified by the N2XS2Y designation.
NA2XS(FL)2OuiAdds a laminated metallic moisture barrier beneath the PE sheath, providing radial moisture protection in addition to longitudinal water blocking.

NA2XS(F)2FAQ sur les câbles Y

Qu'est-ce que (F) mean in NA2XS(F)2Oui?

It identifies longitudinal water blocking. The exact tape arrangement and tested scope follow the declared construction; it does not by itself specify a radial barrier or a water-blocked conductor.

Does an aluminium conductor mean an aluminium screen?

Non. The reference uses an aluminium phase conductor and a copper wire metallic screen. Screen area follows earth-fault duty and bonding requirements.

Is 3×1×240 the same as a three-core cable?

Non. It is three separate single-core cables. A three-core cable contains the three phase cores inside one common sheath.
