Three-core construction and accessory interfaces
A single overall sheath fixes the relative positions of the three phase cores. Three separate single-core cables permit a chosen flat or trefoil arrangement. Equal voltage and conductor area do not make their current-rating or handling data interchangeable.
Termination stress-control components fit the insulation diameter and screen treatment. Glands and entry seals fit the complete cable diameter. The 3×240/25 reference is approximately 85 mm in diameter and 13 كجم/م, before drum tare; handling calculations therefore use assembly mass, not copper mass alone.
Applications and Installation Conditions

Pulling equipment, route access and bending limits must fit the complete cable. درع, water blocking and enhanced fire-performance sheaths require separately identified constructions rather than assumptions about the N2XSEY name.

N2XSEY Cable FAQs
Does N2XSEY mean the cable is armoured?
لا. The reference screened construction is unarmoured. A metallic screen provides an electrical function and is not mechanical armour.
Can 12/20 kV dimensions be used for a 6/10 kV variant?
لا. The values here belong only to the stated 12/20 kV construction. A different voltage design needs its own dimensional and rating data.
Is N2XSEY the same as three N2XSY cables?
