What is N2XH Cable?

N2XH is a European low-voltage power cable designation for fixed installations that need halogen-free and low-smoke fire behavior. It should be quoted against the project standard, not only by product name.

N2XH cables are ideal for fixed installations in dry, 湿った, or wet environments. They are widely used in indoor applications, particularly in heavily populated areas like schools, 病院, 空港, and industrial plants. They can also be installed outdoors on cable trays or brackets, provided they are shielded from direct, prolonged sunlight (unless specifically UV-resistant variants are requested).

The primary difference lies in the insulation and sheathing materials, which determine their fire safety performance. NYY cables use PVC (ポリ塩化ビニル), which releases toxic, corrosive black smoke when burned.
