The Middle East & South Asia

A major EPC contractor required a highly reliable medium voltage cable network for a 500MW solar power project. The cables were used in the 33kV internal collection system, linking inverter stations to the plant substation. XWA supplied specialized 33kV XLPE cables with enhanced thermal performance and UV-resistant sheathing, suitable for harsh outdoor and partially exposed installations. The optimized cable design minimized derating under high-temperature conditions, ensuring stable power transmission and supporting the plant’s maximum operational efficiency during peak summer periods.

To address the growing energy demands of a major industrial and residential hub, a regional power utility initiated a project to interconnect two critical 132kV substations. Due to the high density of the urban environment, overhead lines were not feasible, requiring a complex underground installation. XWA manufactured and supplied 15 kilometers of 132kV high-voltage cables designed for high-load reliability in high-ambient-temperature soil conditions. The successful commissioning of the link has significantly reduced local load-shedding and improved grid stability for surrounding manufacturing zones.

Central America & South America

A leading international mining consortium required a robust electrical backbone for a new copper processing plant located at an elevation of over 4,000 meters. The project faced extreme environmental challenges, including intense UV radiation, significant day–night temperature fluctuations, and reduced air density affecting cable thermal performance. XWA provided a customized solution featuring 66kV XLPE cables with enhanced thermal design and UV-resistant outer sheathing, ensuring reliable operation under harsh high-altitude conditions and resistance to thermal cycling.

A national energy provider initiated a critical grid expansion to deliver stable power to remote, high-altitude industrial facilities. The project faced extreme challenges, including freezing temperatures, strong winds, rugged terrain, and reduced air density affecting conductor performance and installation efficiency. XWA supplied customized 110kV overhead line conductors engineered for high mechanical strength and stable performance under low-temperature and high-wind conditions. The conductor design also accounted for thermal variation and long-span requirements typical of mountainous terrain.

Africa

A leading regional energy company was expanding its downstream petrochemical refining capacity. The industrial environment was incredibly harsh, characterized by high ambient heat, exposure to corrosive industrial chemicals, and a high risk of mechanical impact during heavy machinery operations. Standard cabling would degrade rapidly under these conditions. XWA supplied specialized medium voltage cables featuring heavy-duty steel wire armoring for mechanical protection, enclosed in a custom hydrocarbon-resistant outer sheath. This ruggedized solution effectively shielded the power matrix from chemical ingress and physical damage, reducing projected maintenance cycles for the plant operator.

To support a regional rural electrification initiative, a local utility needed to extend power distribution to several remote communities. The challenging, heavily forested terrain made underground trenching financially and logistically unfeasible. Additionally, the utility needed a solution to replace aging bare-wire lines that were prone to power theft and frequent short circuits caused by heavy winds and falling branches. XWA supplied extensive lengths of durable Low Voltage Aerial Bundled Cables (ABC) featuring high-density XLPE insulation. The highly insulated, pre-bundled design allowed contractors to install the overhead lines quickly and safely using existing pole infrastructure.

North America & Europe

A major tech infrastructure developer was building a new hyperscale data center. The facility required absolute power redundancy and strict adherence to stringent US fire safety and building codes. The challenge was supplying massive volumes of high-capacity cable that also met low-smoke, zero-halogen safety requirements for enclosed spaces. XWA engineered and delivered a comprehensive package of moisture-resistant 35kV cables and HFFR control cables.

One of the busiest commercial ports in the Mediterranean upgraded its shipping container terminals with electrically powered automated cranes. The project required highly flexible, corrosion-resistant cables capable of continuous movement and heavy power transmission. XWA delivered a complete package of specialized control cables for the crane robotics, alongside medium-voltage feeder lines powering the crane rails. Additionally, submarine-grade power and communication cables connected offshore docking and lighting systems, supporting uninterrupted operations even under harsh maritime conditions.
