N2XSY Cable

N2XSY Cable is a single-core medium-voltage power cable with a stranded copper conductor, XLPE 단열재, copper wire screen and PVC outer sheath.

The designation is used for fixed medium-voltage distribution in transformer stations, switching substations, power plants, industrial networks, renewable-energy collection systems and utility cable routes. N2XSY Cable Construction

N2XSY is built around a stranded copper conductor with an extruded conductor screen, XLPE insulation and an insulation screen applied as part of the medium-voltage insulation system. A copper wire screen and counter helix provide the metallic screen path, followed by a PVC outer sheath.

The single-core construction is important. Current rating, screen bonding, induced sheath voltage, bending radius and termination design are evaluated differently from three-core MV cable. Where a tender requires a three-core screened cable, N2XSEY or another three-core designation may be the better match.

The copper screen section, commonly shown as the second number in a size such as 1 엑스 240/25 mm2, is selected according to earth-fault current and protection design. It is not decorative and must match the fault-current requirement of the system.

Applications for N2XSY Medium Voltage Cable

N2XSY cable is used in medium-voltage distribution networks where a screened single-core cable with PVC sheath is accepted by the project specification. Common routes include transformer stations, switching stations, power plants, industrial feeders, renewable-energy collection networks and utility distribution circuits.

The cable can be installed indoors, outdoors, in ducts and in ground routes when the installation design accounts for mechanical protection, pulling tension, 굽힘 반경, route temperature and current rating. The PVC sheath gives a practical outer covering for many fixed installations, but route protection remains part of the cable system design.

For direct sunlight exposure, local standards and sheath performance requirements must be checked. For tunnels, public buildings or routes requiring low smoke and halogen-free performance, an LSZH medium-voltage cable can be a more suitable design than N2XSY.

N2XSY vs NA2XSY, N2XS2Y and N2XSEY

N2XSY and NA2XSY share the same basic screened MV cable logic, but the conductor material is different. N2XSY uses copper; NA2XSY uses aluminium. Copper gives a smaller conductor size for the same resistance, while aluminium can reduce conductor cost and cable weight where larger cross-sections and compatible terminations are acceptable.

N2XSY and N2XS2Y differ mainly in sheath material. N2XSY uses PVC sheath, while N2XS2Y uses PE sheath. PE sheath can be preferred for some underground routes because of moisture and abrasion resistance, while PVC may be selected where flame behaviour, handling or project convention points to PVC.

N2XSEY is commonly associated with three-core medium-voltage construction. It should not be treated as the same product as single-core N2XSY. The correct model depends on circuit design, installation route, magnetic effects, screen bonding method and termination arrangement.

테스트, Documents and Export Packing

N2XSY production documentation can include the approved datasheet, conductor resistance checks, voltage test records, partial-discharge test records, 치수검사, drum schedule, packing list and product photos. Type tests, flame-test evidence or third-party inspection are added only when required by the project and available for the exact construction.

Export packing is normally planned by cable weight, drum length, maximum drum diameter, route handling and container loading. Medium-voltage single-core cable can become heavy at large cross-sections, so drum length is part of the technical and logistics review, not only a shipping preference.

What is N2XSY Cable?

N2XSY Cable is a screened single-core medium-voltage power cable with a copper conductor, XLPE 단열재, copper wire screen and PVC outer sheath. It is used for fixed MV distribution routes in utility, substation, industrial and generation systems.
