NA2XS(F)2Y cable is a single-core medium-voltage power cable with a stranded aluminium conductor, screened XLPE insulation, copper wire screen and black PE outer sheath. The (F) construction includes longitudinal water-blocking components in the screen area.

Single-core aluminium/XLPE/copper-wire-screen/PE, 12/20(24) kV. In 1×240/25, 240 mm² identifies the phase conductor and 25 mm² the metallic screen.
Reference ampacity: one circuit, touching trefoil; air 30°C; ground 20°C, tepelný odpor 1.0 K·m/W and burial depth 0.7 m. Reference maximum conductor temperature: 90°C. Potrubí, grouped circuits and bonding require a project calculation.
Longitudinal water blocking and three single-core circuits
Swellable components in the screen region restrict water travel along the cable after moisture enters. A radial barrier or water-blocked conductor can be specified separately; sheath damage requires repair.
The notation 3×1×240 identifies three separate single-core cables, each with a 240 mm² conductor. Each cable has its own sheath, cable entry and screen connection.
Applications and Installation Conditions
